Thought I'd post some pictures up of my altar and shrines. In my photos, showing my family altar (contains 3 candles for fire, wood doodad for my Bile, well, geode stone for my Omphalos stone, incense burner, bell, offering bowl, starfish, and pinecone) The Bile is wrapped with ivy right now, but it changes with the seasons. In fall, I wrap it in bittersweet, grape vines, or fall leaves, in winter it's wrapped with holly or mistletoe, and in spring/summer it's wrapped with clover, ivy, daisy chains, violets, or meadowsweet. I obtained my Bile at a yard sale for 25 cents--it had a horrendous fake flower arrangement in the center, so I cleaned it out and polished it up. My black ceramic cup I use for my well fits perfectly inside.
My Athena shrine is on the wall, it's actually a coat rack/shelf. It has a statue of Athena, a bottle of olive oil, candle, small owl, and incense burner on it. All my other shrines are dust free, but since the spider is special to Athena, I let cobwebs accumulate on the shrine......what better place for a spider to have sanctuary than a shrine to Athena? ;-)
My ancestor shrine (not pictured) has pictures of family members that have gone before me, along with dried flowers from my daughter's wedding and a jar candle. I want a picture above the wall behind it, but the perfect one hasn't appeared yet. I also have a Hestia shrine on my kitchen stove, not pictured, that consists of an oil candle and offering bowl.

Solitary Full Moon Invocation #1
Mother, Goddess of moon and star,
Bring Your presence from afar,
Manifest on this, Your night,
and bless me in this sacred rite!
Grant the knowledge and clarity,
to understand Your words to me.
Lend Your power, send Your light,
Aid me in my work tonight!
With love and wisdom please embrace,
All within this sacred space.
Mother, I now call to You,
Bring Your message clear and true!

Mother, bless me with knowledge
To guide me on my way,
Bless my eyes to see the beauty,
That all around me lay.
Bless my voice to ring both clear and true,
And choose my words with care,

Invocation to The Goddess
Mother, I kneel at Your altar today,
For comfort and healing, I now pray.
I light a candle so you'll impart
Your loving essence to lift my heart.
So many are hurting, so many cry,
And so many are left to wonder why.
Now, dear Mother, I call to You,
When blessings seem so far and few,
Please comfort those in unbearable pain,
Let them know their losses are not in vain,
Touch their hearts and hold them tight,
And wrap them in Your loving light!
Mother, with your tender care,
Bless Your children everywhere!
--Brigid, please send your healing flame,
To burn away their grief and pain!
--Isis, come, on wings of light,
Sustain them through their endless night!
--Kuan Yin, attend and dry their tears,
Your peace descend to calm their fears!
--Persephone, welcome those with love,
Who passed so sudden from above!
Bless them with a peaceful sleep,
And know their memory we'll keep,

Artemis, Guardian of creatures wild,
Hear this request from Your loving child,
I ask You now to come and bless,
This animal with happiness.
She's more than just a pet to me--
A beloved member of my family.
Grant her a long and healthy life,
Free from hunger, pain, and strife,
Fill her days with love and light,
Gentle hugs and blessings bright,
May I treat her with respect and care,
And be thankful for the bond we share,
Protect her from danger and those who harm,
Keep her comfortable, safe, and warm,
And grant that we might always be,
Content with each other's company.
Artemis, Maiden, both fierce and free,

Hail to the east, where warm winds blow,
Where ideas and creations form and flow,
I ask for your aid within this place,
As I welcome you to my sacred space!
Hail to the south, to the sacred fire,
Realm of passion, willpower, desire,
Bring your bright flame and grace this sphere,
Powers of Fire, I welcome you here!
Hail to the west, with your cleansing rain,
Wash away sorrow, anger, and pain,
Bring gentle healing and hear my plea,
Powers of Water, I welcome thee!
Hail to the north, where the mountains rise,
Where green grows the land under brilliant blue skies,
